Alaa Eid is a Chief Researcher in chemical technology of polymer science, at “Central Metallurgical Research & Development Institute “CMRDI” – Advanced Material Division, Composite lab. Egypt –he is a Founder and Head of Polymer, Polymer composite and nanocomposite research unit 2015. He achieved Ph.D. from the D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia (2006). He has published more than 17 papers in domestic and international conferences. He has been the supervisor of 10 MSc. and PhD in polymer nanocomposite materials, He is a PI of tow Funded projects from The Academy of Scientific Research & Technology, Egypt, and 3 Projects under screening. He is DSc. Researcher of Polymer science and engineering under the supervision of Prof. Dr. A. K. Mikitaev, entitled “Development of novel polymer Nano-composite materials for space industry” K. M. Berbekov Kabardino-Balkarian State University, Nal'chik, Russia 2016. He is a fellowship visitor to Egyptian Electronic Research Institute from October 2016. He was The Former General Secretary of the Egyptian Scientific Syndicate of Professionals “ESSP”2011-2012, and the Head of Scientific Management Division@“ESSP”2011-2015. Member of the VIP board of World Federation of Arabic and Islamic Schools "WFAIS" @ OIC. From 1998-now. He is a Member of Egyptian Polymer Society, and Egyptian Chemical Society, He is an Exclusive Representative in MENA region for SALAMWORLD Corp. 2011-2014. He is a Consultant and Exclusive Representative in MENA region for Nihon NanoTech.NNT Co.Ltd., Japan (2013-untill now). Prof. Han-Yong Jeon, male, geosynthetics/technical organic materials researcher, graduated from textile engineering department, Hanyang University in 1979. He worked for Hyejeon College, 1982-1990 and Howon University, 1990-1992, Chonnam National University, 1992-2005 and now works for Inha University. Since 1998, he is the director of Geosynthetics Institute (USA)-Korea Directory. From 2008-2012, he worked in International Geosynthetics Society as Council member (2006~2012) and he was the 6th president of Korean Geosynthetics Society (2011~2013). Also, he is members of ASTM D35 and ISO TC221 on geosynthetics from 1998. Now he is the current 32nd President of Korean Fiber Society (2014~2015). He has published more than 782 papers in domestic and international conferences. He wrote 17 texts including 'GEOSYNTHETICS’ and also published 107 papers in domestic & international journals. He has awards of Marquis Who'sWho - Science and Engineering in 2003~2014 and Top 100 Scientists in the World: 2005/2011 of IBC (International Biographical Centre, UK). Also, he got the 33rd Academy Award of Korean Fiber Society in 2006 and “Excellent Paper Award of 2012” by The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies

Warren Grigsby is a Researcher Leader at Scion (New Zealand) with research activity spanning synthetic and polymer chemistry applications of biopolymer systems. Warren is leading the development of bio-based adhesive and polymer systems that can be used as substitutes for chemicals derived from petroleum. He has a lead role in the direction and coordination of innovative research efforts in both commercial and government-funded research. His current research activities include the synthesis of biobased adhesives and resins for use in engineered wood products and high performance composites, novel wood modification processing strategies, and adapting polyphenolics in a range of applications.

Warren Grigsby research interest lies in Polymers and adhesives. he focused on developing wood-based materials and composites that incorporate high performance bonding agents.

Kurt Kremer joined the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in September of 1995, heading the newly established theory group. After studying physics he received his PhD in 1983 under the supervision of Prof. Binder. He performed computer simulations for dynamic and static properties of polymers in bulk and near surfaces. He moved for a post-doctoral stay to Exxon Research and Engineering Corporation, Annandale, New Jersey, USA, working on polymers and on charge stabilised colloids in collaboration with Drs.Grest, Pincus, and others. Being back in Germany he obtained his Habilitation in 1988 at the University of Mainz and joined the solid state laboratory of the KFA Jülich as senior scientific staff. He spent several extended visits as visiting professor/scientist at Exxon Research, UC Santa Barbara, University of Minnesota and New York University. Professor Emri has developed an innovative theoretical-experimental approach to studying the interrelation between the macroscopic thermo-mechanical boundary conditions and the rate of structural rearrangement which is related to the mechanical spectrum. He has developed several unique, specially designed apparatuses for characterization of time-dependent behavior of materials. Among them the high-pressure apparatus for experimental studying of the simultaneous effects of pressure and temperature on the structure formation and non-linear behavior of polymeric materials is probably the most important. The non-linear viscoelastic model Knauss-Emri, the Emri-Tschoegl algorithm for the evaluation of mechanical spectra, and the high-pressure apparatus represent a unique tool for studying the interrelation between the so-called initial molecular kinetics (determined with the molecular mass distribution and topology of molecular chains), the thermo-mechanical boundary conditions, and the macroscopic properties of polymer materials. In collaboration with BASF, this experimental-theoretical approach was used in the development of new generation nano-structured polymers, which were named the I-Polymers (where I stands for intelligent). The invention was patented world-wide. These nano-structured materials exhibit orders of magnitude different physical properties than the chemically identical conventional polymers. One book and chapters in 4 books, over 150 publications, 23 patents (international, US and EU), more than 30 invited and plenary lectures on conferences, universities and research institutes, and about 1000 citations in peer reviewed journals and books.

Zeki Candan is currently working at Istanbul University. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Forest Products Engineering from Istanbul University.He has many publications including peer-reviewed international journal papers and presentations. Dr. Candan has received many national or international honors & awards including Second Class Honors – Forest Products Engineering, Istanbul University; Second Place in poster competition at the Forest Products Society 62nd International Convention, the United States in 2008; Travel Grant at the TAPPI International Conference on Nanotechnology for the Forest Products, the United States in 2008; Third Place in poster competition at the Society of Wood Science and Technology 52nd International Annual Convention, the United States in 2009; Wood Preservation Award at the Forest Products Society 67th International Convention, the United States in 2013; First Place in National R&D Project Competition, Republic of Turkey Ministry of Economy, Turkey in 2013; Third Place in National R&D Project Competition, Republic of Turkey Ministry of Economy, Turkey in 2013; Third Place in National R&D Project Competition, Republic of Turkey Ministry of Economy, Turkey in 2014; First Place in National R&D Project Competition, Republic of Turkey Ministry of Economy, Turkey in 2015. He has been as a Visiting Researcher at many universities in the United States, Europe, and China. Dr. Candan is active in several professional societies including the Forest Products Society; the Society of Wood Science and Technology (for whom he served as a member of the Membership Committee and the Visiting Scientist Committee); the Society for Adhesion and Adhesives. Dr. Candan has been as editor, editorial board member, and reviewer in many international peer-reviewed journals.
